Description
The University of Guelph is seeking one new dry bean research plot seeder for planting multiple dry and azuki bean market classes without damaging seed. The equipment must support four 38 cm rows or two 76 cm rows from one cone, adjustable plot lengths from 1 to 6.5 m with 1 to 1.8 m alleyways, adjustable planting depth from 2 to 9 cm, conventional and no-till planting components, and safe transport on Ontario roads. It must function with a Case IH Farmall 120U equipped with Trimble GPS and accommodate the University's research-station operations. The scope includes GPS-controlled plot tripping, software and hardware for digital plot-map generation, an analog backup, documentation, integration, calibration, validation, testing through final acceptance, on-site end-user training, at least a one-year manufacturer's warranty, extended-warranty pricing, and local maintenance and technical support. One new seeder is required, with delivery on or before March 31, 2027. The stated project budget is CAD 220,000.
