Description
The Township of Marlboro is offering approximately 52 acres at the DiMeo Farm South property for temporary agricultural use under a five-year Use and Occupancy Agreement beginning January 1, 2027, with the Township holding an option for one additional five-year renewal period. The successful lessee must supply the equipment and manpower needed to prepare the soil, plant, maintain, and harvest crops, and may use the property only for agricultural crop production. The minimum annual bid is $2,500, with annual rent increases of 3% or the applicable New York Region Consumer Price Index, whichever is higher. The lessee must actively farm the land, comply with environmental and agricultural requirements, maintain required insurance, submit pesticide and applicator documentation, harvest crops by November 1 each year, and plant approved cover crops. Award will be made to the bidder offering the highest price. Electronic submission is required, including the completed bid table, required certifications and forms, bid security, and supporting business and insurance documentation.
