The Bureau of Land Management's Plant Conservation and Restoration Program (PCRP) is seeking cooperative agreement proposals to strengthen the national native seed supply chain. The program focuses on local seed collections, supporting farmers and nonprofits entering the native seed market, nursery production of species unsuitable for direct seeding, applied science and innovation to reduce costs and improve restoration outcomes, and managing native plant communities and special status plants. Key priorities include implementing the National Native Seed Strategy, developing knowledge and technology for effective native seed use, collecting and processing native seed for post-wildfire stabilization, propagating and establishing seed increase fields, and developing infrastructure for native seed production. Projects must be located on BLM-managed public lands and align with DOI priorities. Eligible applicants include state, county, city, township, special district, and tribal governments, school districts, institutions of higher education, and nonprofits. Individuals and for-profit organizations are ineligible. The program expects to fund up to 50 awards ranging from $10,000 to $500,000, with total funding of $2.5 million. Applications are due by September 28, 2026.
