Description
Macon-Bibb County is soliciting proposals for one lease covering four Middle Georgia Regional Airport tracts totaling approximately 179.61 acres: 21.39, 12.62, 128.37, and 17.23 acres. The successful lessee must use, maintain, and pay rent on all four tracts for agricultural production and farming activities, and must submit one proposal covering the entire property. The intended lease term is five years. Proposals must describe the proposed crops, crop rotation, planting and harvesting schedules, cultivation, irrigation, soil conservation, pest management, chemical use, and property-maintenance practices. Respondents must also provide related agricultural experience, references, available equipment, and personnel qualifications. Farming activities are subject to airport operational, FAA, GDOT, environmental, and wildlife-hazard requirements; several activities and improvements require prior written approval. The proposal package includes the completed bid form and Attachment A submission forms, including qualification, subcontractor, minority-participation, financial and legal stability, insurability, debarment, non-collusion, vendor application, W-9, and E-Verify materials.
