Description
The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking an independent laboratory to prepare a protocol and conduct a good laboratory practice (GLP)-compliant analytical method validation for an antimycin A high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection (HPLC-DAD) method. The work includes validating four antimycin A homologs—A1, A2, A3, and A4—using three separately prepared standard curves, with evaluation of selectivity, calibration, bias, precision, accuracy, quantitation limits and range, and detection limits. An option would require applying the validated method to quantify antimycin A and total antimycin A across four sample matrices: end-of-fermentation brine, extracted or purified antimycin A, liquid antimycin A formulation, and antimycin A in water. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, a GLP-compliant laboratory and quality assurance plan, required equipment and materials unless furnished by the government, and a final report documenting the validation and quantification results against the stated acceptance criteria. The base period of performance is September 23, 2026, through December 22, 2026; the option is anticipated for exercise on November 2, 2026.
