Description
This notice is a Sources Sought for market research purposes and is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking potential sources capable of providing blood and blood products routinely, as soon as possible, and STAT as requested for the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC, and the W.G. (Bill) Hefner Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. Vendors must be able to supply FDA-approved blood and blood products to Level 1a and 1b VA Medical Centers. Additionally, vendors may be required to serve as a reference lab for specimens beyond the scope of the Medical Centers. The supplier must provide at least three routine scheduled deliveries of blood products per week and be capable of ordering additional STAT blood products 24/7 for emergent situations. Interested parties should submit their company name and address, business size (large or small), socioeconomic category (8(a), HUBZone, Services Disabled Veteran-Owned/Veteran-Owned Small Business), a brief description of qualifications, and any other pertinent information demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement. Responses are due by 8:00 AM EST on June 26, 2026.
