Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole-source contract to The American Red Cross for FDA-approved blood and blood products for the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina, and the W.G. (Bill) Hefner Salisbury VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. The contractor must support Level 1a and 1b medical centers, serve as a reference laboratory for specimens beyond the medical centers’ capabilities, provide at least three routine scheduled deliveries per week, and support ordering additional STAT blood products 24/7 for emergencies. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested businesses may submit written capability information demonstrating compliance by email. Responses must include the company name and address, point of contact and phone number, SAM Unique Entity ID, and manufacturer authorization, authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller documentation.
