Description
The National Institutes of Health, through the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and related translational toxicology research programs, intends to procure 60 vials of spheroid-qualified cryopreserved primary human hepatocytes: 30 vials from male donors and 30 vials from female donors. The cells must be specifically qualified for spheroid formation, supplied in liquid nitrogen storage, and include appropriately characterized and, where applicable, re-qualified cell lots from the identified manufacturer, Lonza. The cells will support three-dimensional human liver microphysiological-system research involving toxicity-induced liver injury, fibrotic damage, culture-condition optimization, and evaluation of sex-based differences. Acceptance requires successful delivery and successful formation of rounded spheroids from the supplied vials in the agency laboratory. The intended order is firm-fixed-price, and quotations must identify the offered products, manufacturer and part numbers, quantities, pricing, delivery schedule, donor characteristics, lot information, qualification and characterization details, and re-qualification status where applicable.
