Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking capable sources for human leukocyte antigen laboratory testing and courier services supporting the Richmond VA Medical Center. The scope includes transporting specimens to the VCU HLA laboratory, specimen requirements and collection guidance, processing and analysis, result reporting, storage of samples for potential future testing, and consultative support regarding specimen selection, collection, and interpretation of results. Required testing includes low- and high-resolution HLA Class I and Class II typing, flow cytometric T-cell and B-cell crossmatching, HLA antibody phenotype and high-definition panels, angiotensin II type 1 antibody testing, supplemental HLA antibody panels, additional-serum crossmatching, and HLA cell cryopreservation. The laboratory must maintain a valid CLIA certificate and accreditation through a CMS-approved deemed-status program such as CAP, ASHI, COLA, or The Joint Commission.
