Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Metabolon, Inc. for metabolomic analysis services supporting the Soybean and Nitrogen Fixation Research Unit. The requirement calls for Metabolon's proprietary chemocentric methodology to detect more than 5,500 small molecules, authenticated by retention time, accurate mass, and fragmentation patterns, including specified compounds of interest and potentially novel compounds relevant to USDA research. The notice is informational and is not an IFB, RFP, or RFQ. It invites capable sources to submit information about their interest and technical capability; the agency will determine whether to open the requirement to competition. Responses must be submitted by email only, and the government will not reimburse response-preparation costs.
