Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for on-call hazardous, biological, and environmentally regulated waste management services in District 01 facilities across Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte Counties. The scope includes 20- and 40-cubic-yard bin rental, delivery, exchange, pickup, removal, transportation, lawful disposal or recycling, waste profiling, manifests, treated wood waste and tire handling, soil handling, and laboratory sampling and analysis. The contractor must provide trained personnel, vehicles, equipment, personal protective equipment, required permits and hazardous-material certifications, and compliant disposal or recycling facilities. Services include routine requests within five working days and urgent public-health, safety, or welfare requests within four hours. The agreement is estimated to run from October 20, 2026, through October 19, 2029, subject to approval, with an estimated $15,000 per-diem allowance and an otherwise unspecified total agreement amount. Subcontracting is permitted only for laboratory services.
