Description
Hillsborough County is soliciting competitive sealed bids for biohazardous waste removal and disposal services supporting Fire Rescue, the Pet Resources Department, Public Utilities, and the Medical Examiner's Office. The contractor must provide all necessary supplies, containers, labor, equipment, training, transportation, collection, compliant disposal, manifests, and related documentation. Subcontracting is not permitted, and the contractor must hold the required Florida biomedical-waste transporter permit and comply with applicable Florida Department of Health requirements. The contract is planned for a five-year period, with an estimated project value of $178,807.86. Services include scheduled and requested pickups at four Tampa-area locations, including provision and servicing of biohazard waste containers. The County will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for all line items. Required submission items include the electronic bid-table response, bidder requirements/acknowledgements questionnaire, and acknowledgment of Addendum No. 1; the Drug-Free Workplace form, insurance certificate, deviation questionnaire, and Substitute W-9 are optional or requested after award or upon request.
