The City of Fresno is soliciting a lump-sum public-works contractor for approximately 0.5 miles of pavement rehabilitation along Shaw Avenue between Fruit Avenue and West Avenue. Work includes milling approximately 0.30 feet of existing pavement and placing a 0.34-foot Type A hot-mix asphalt overlay, along with concrete curb ramps, detectable warning devices, sidewalks and related concrete improvements. Additional work includes adjusting sanitary sewer manholes and water valves to finish grade, replacing traffic-signal loop detectors, installing thermoplastic signing and striping, traffic control, stormwater and fugitive-dust compliance, lead-compliance planning, and project communications. The construction allocation is $1,653,427, and completion is required within 80 working days after the Notice to Proceed. A valid California Class A or C-12 contractor's license is required. The project requires a 10% bid deposit and 100% payment and performance bonds.
