Description
The City of Coconut Creek, serving as lead agency for the Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Group, seeks one or more contractors to provide household hazardous waste, special waste, and electronic waste collection services. The scope includes waste identification and characterization, collection-event mobilization, packaging, transportation, shipping, disposal, and related reporting and manifest services. Contractors must provide personnel, equipment, containers, spill-control materials, on-site weighing, compliant transport, and disposal at approved facilities. The opportunity also includes latex paint collection and processing and electronics recycling through vendors certified to the Responsible Recycling (R2) or e-Stewards standard. Proposers must demonstrate relevant licensing, hazardous-waste qualifications, at least five years of similar experience, staffing and operational capabilities, required certifications and licenses, and at least three similar client references from the past two years, including at least one governmental entity. Pricing is submitted electronically by line item, including labor, mobilization, supplies, disposal, batteries, bulbs, compressed cylinders, electronic waste, latex paint, and emergency services. The initial contract term is two years, with two additional two-year extension periods available by mutual agreement.
