Description
The City of Fresno Department of Transportation/Fresno Area Express is seeking a professional engineering consultant to provide full design services for up to 57 standard bus stops. The scope includes schematic and construction-document design, site and utility investigations, accessibility-compliant engineering, surveys, permitting support, cost estimating, technical specifications, and preparation of plans and bid documents using the City’s standard bus stop drawings. The consultant must identify and coordinate any necessary design disciplines and subconsultants, and all work must be reviewed, approved, and certified by a California-licensed engineer. A Certified Access Specialist must be included on the project team. The selected consultant will also support the subsequent bidding and construction phases, including responses to requests for information, addenda support, review of shop drawings and submittals, site and construction-progress reviews, change-order and claims recommendations, and construction administration. Required proposal materials include business license information, a qualification questionnaire, at least three references for similar services, acceptance of indemnification and insurance requirements, conflict-of-interest disclosure, addenda acknowledgments, and a cost proposal. The solicitation requires electronic submission through Planet Bids and includes specified commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, employer’s liability, and professional liability insurance requirements.
