Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting bids to remove and replace approximately 650 feet of galvanized, black vinyl-coated, 8-foot outfield chain-link fencing at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The work includes two 8-foot-by-24-foot double gates, galvanized gate posts, and a new 2-by-8-foot treated-lumber baseboard. The outfield fencing must use 6-gauge material, with specifications for post spacing, rails, concrete footings, and removal and reinstallation of fiber wire by an electrician. The contractor must also supply and install approximately 767 feet of perimeter fencing around the baseball field, including one 8-foot-by-16-foot double gate. The scope includes all labor, tools, equipment, permits, waste disposal, daily cleanup, safety measures, and protection of City property. Payment and performance bonds are required from the awarded contractor in amounts equal to the contract price, and insurance coverage with specified general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and endorsements is required.
