Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting bids to remove and replace approximately 650 feet of galvanized chain-link outfield fencing at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The replacement fence must use 6-gauge, black vinyl-coated material, be 8 feet high, and include a new 2-by-8-inch green treated-lumber baseboard. The work also includes two 8-foot-by-24-foot double gates with galvanized gate posts. The project additionally requires installation of approximately 767 feet of new perimeter fencing around the baseball field, including one 8-foot-by-16-foot double gate. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, cleanup, waste disposal, safety measures, and required insurance. Payment and performance bonds, each equal to the contract price, are required from the awarded contractor within 10 days after award. The initial contract term runs from contract execution through March 31, 2027, and work may not begin until the City approves the insurance, executes the contract, and issues a purchase order.
