Description
This Stage II Invitation to Bid is limited to contractors prequalified through the State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management's Stage I process and currently listed in the applicable DFCM prequalified contractor category. The project is a low-bid construction contract for a new two-bay, approximately 40-by-90-foot pre-engineered metal building used to store a tow-plow truck at an existing transportation maintenance facility. The work includes foundations, structural and architectural construction, standing-seam metal roofing, insulated metal wall panels, overhead and personnel doors, concrete slab and aprons, sealed concrete flooring, mechanical and plumbing systems, electrical work, utilities, drainage, paving, erosion control, selective demolition, and related site improvements. A resinous flooring system is offered as an additive alternate, and a unit price is required for removal and replacement of unsuitable soils. The construction cost estimate is $824,000. The bid must include a 5 percent bid bond, and the successful contractor must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds after award. Substantial completion is required by June 28, 2027. The subcontractor list is due separately after bid opening and must identify applicable first-tier subcontractors.
