Description
Summit County is soliciting bids for a complete turnkey structural steel mezzanine at the Summit Bike Share Headquarters warehouse. The selected contractor must provide engineering, final engineered drawings, fabrication, materials, labor, equipment, delivery, installation, anchoring to the existing slab, permits, inspections, electrical work by a licensed electrician, final cleanup, and warranty coverage. The mezzanine will support indoor storage of approximately 250 electric bicycles and associated equipment. The proposed system should generally follow the conceptual L-shaped layout and include structural steel framing, decking, guardrails, kickplates, connections, bracing, a fixed ladder or stairs, and a double-swing safety gate, while meeting applicable International Building Code, OSHA, and local building-code requirements. Bidders must demonstrate at least three comparable mezzanine installations completed within the last five years, appropriate Utah contractor licensing, required insurance, and the ability to provide manufacturer and installation warranties. The award is intended for the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
