Description
The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission is soliciting sealed, unit-price bids for construction of an approximately 25,500-square-foot expansion at the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The work includes architectural, structural, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, electrical, technology, and sitework, along with installation of baggage handling equipment. The project is subject to federal funding assistance and applicable federal provisions, including Davis-Bacon wage requirements, Buy American/BABA requirements, and a 0.55% disadvantaged business enterprise participation goal with documented good-faith efforts. Bidders must submit the required FAA Buy American Preference, BABA, and Made in America Laws certification. A 5% bid security is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. Substantial completion is required within 365 calendar days, followed by final completion within 120 calendar days after substantial completion.
