Description
The City of Huntsville is soliciting bids from qualified roofing contractors to provide as-needed preventive maintenance, repairs, and new roof installations at various City facilities. The scope includes flat, low-pitch, medium-pitch, and steep-pitch roof systems, including built-up, EPDM, TPO, shingle, metal, and associated flashing systems. Contractors must provide labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, permits, disposal, and related services, with work authorized separately through purchase orders and work authorizations. The contract will use fixed labor rates with reimbursement for approved materials and disposal costs. Emergency work must generally begin within two hours of notification, and non-emergency work within 24 hours. Bidders must hold an Alabama General Contractor's License and have at least three years of commercial roofing experience. The solicitation requires a bid bond, and performance and payment bonds for individual purchase orders of $100,000 or more. The bid package includes City-provided pricing, bidder information, ownership, acknowledgment, and compliance forms, along with references and other required certifications.
