Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting bids for a citywide contract to provide and deliver welding gases and related supplies to various City facilities. The scope includes recurring and as-needed delivery of gases, cylinder rental pricing, freight, delivery, hazardous-material handling, fuel surcharges, and a partial list of welding supplies such as masks, gloves, cylinders, hoses, and welding wire. Supply markups may not exceed 10%, and the contractor must provide Safety Data Sheets with initial and updated shipments as applicable. Bidders must complete the Bid Pricing Submittal Form and provide pricing by department and facility, including refill and rental pricing. The response must also include a brief narrative describing service processes and relevant contact information, plus a completed certification regarding the ability to obtain required insurance. The initial contract term is anticipated to run from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027, with four additional one-year renewal periods available by mutual agreement. Required insurance includes general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation and employers' liability, and pollution liability, with specified minimum limits and endorsements.
