Description
The project requires a prime contractor to furnish and install building and site concrete, reinforcing steel, and related materials for the Vista Continuation High School Modernization project, Bid No. 6918. The scope includes cast-in-place concrete foundations, slabs-on-grade, structural walls, footings, equipment pads, bleacher and dugout slabs and foundations, light-pole and bollard foundations, an electric-vehicle charger base, CMU wall footings, a monument sign foundation, concrete paving, curbs, gutters, walkways, handicap ramps, drive approaches, off-site improvements, traffic control, aggregate base, vapor-control barriers, anchor-bolt systems, embeds, grouting, backfill, joints, concrete mix designs, layout, utility protection, spoils removal, and as-built documentation. The contractor must provide rebar, reinforcing steel, forming, ready-mix concrete, curing and sealing compounds, joint materials, adhesives, sleeves, and other materials necessary for a complete installation. This is a multiple-prime public-works construction package with an estimated bid value of $4,927,794.57 and an anticipated duration of 490 calendar days. The prime contractor must hold a California C-8 Concrete Contractor license, comply with prevailing-wage and California Department of Industrial Relations registration and certified-payroll requirements, satisfy applicable prequalification requirements, and address Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation requirements. The bid package requires bid security and specified declarations, certifications, and other prescribed forms. The project requires workers' compensation, general liability, auto liability, and contractors pollution liability insurance.
