Description
The City of Cedar Rapids seeks bids for electrical installation supporting new roof curbs at four facilities: the Police Department, Noelridge Greenhouse, Cedar Rapids Public Library—Busse Branch, and Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control. The work includes watertight conduit, wiring, breakers, and CAT-6A cabling for three First Responder Drone platforms, two radio antennas, and one camera circuit at each location, plus ten sets of power and data cables at the Police Department. The contractor must coordinate final placement with City staff and maintain existing roof warranties. The contractor must provide labor, tools, equipment, testing instruments, permits, licenses, cleanup, and construction-waste disposal, while complying with safety, accessibility, and applicable regulatory requirements. Payment and performance bonds are required from the awarded contractor in amounts equal to the contract price. Insurance requirements include general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, required endorsements, and a certificate of insurance before contract approval. The initial contract term begins upon City execution and ends December 31, 2026, with possible written mutual extension. Bids must be submitted electronically through the City’s Euna Procurement/IonWave portal; email, fax, and hard-copy submissions are not accepted.
