Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting bids for demolition of the existing bridge and construction of a new cable-stayed river bridge, flood-control components, approach roadways, traffic improvements, sidewalks, trail reconstruction, utility reconstruction, lighting, and related improvements. The engineer's opinion of probable cost is $123,000,000. Work is to begin upon notice to proceed, anticipated in January or February 2027, and final completion is required within 1,250 calendar days. The bid package includes a bid bond, a Bidder Status Form, electronic bid attributes and certifications, and unit-price entries. Bids are submitted through the City's electronic bidding platform.
