Description
The Correctional Service of Canada requires removal and replacement of approximately 2,000 square feet of concrete sidewalk between buildings JVJ25 and JVJ1 at Joyceville Institution. The work includes demolition and off-site disposal of the existing sidewalk and debris; excavation and subgrade preparation; installation of a compacted gravel sub-base; placement of new 25 MPa sidewalk-grade concrete with appropriate alignment, thickness, slope, and drainage; temporary walkways and safe access routes; restoration of disturbed adjacent areas; and site cleanup. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and safety measures. The solicitation also requires a site-specific health and safety plan, environmental protection plan, waste management plan, shop drawings and specifications, applicable safety data sheets, workers' compensation documentation, and other project submittals. Bidders must demonstrate at least three poured-concrete sidewalk or ramp projects exceeding 2,000 square feet completed within the five years before closing, with references. Work must be completed by January 31, 2027, and the lowest-priced compliant bid will be recommended for award.
