Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting unit-price bids for removing, clearing, and stump removal of trees and vegetation at 14 locations throughout Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The work includes clearing and grubbing, traffic control, and mobilization, with quantities and locations detailed in the plans and project manual. Contractors must provide traffic-control plans and devices, maintain site safety and dust control, coordinate with City staff, and comply with applicable SUDAS and MUTCD requirements. The engineer's opinion of probable cost is $270,000. Work may begin between December 1, 2026, and February 1, 2027, and must be completed by March 31, 2027. A five-percent bid bond is required; performance and payment bonds equal to 100 percent of the contract amount are required after award.
