Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting a firm-fixed-price bid to relocate existing exterior security cameras and related devices at the Federal Courthouse to accommodate the 8th Avenue Bridge and floodwall projects. Work includes relocating PTZ cameras, installing or modifying poles and mounting hardware, maintaining fiber connections, relocating reader/intercom and lighting devices, supporting Judge’s Garage access, reinstalling a card reader, and providing related voice, data, security, low-voltage, and high-voltage infrastructure. The contractor must provide as-built documentation for significant changes. Camera relocation, modification, removal, and reinstallation must be performed by a U.S. Marshals Service Blanket Purchase Agreement-approved contractor, coordinated as necessary by the prime contractor. Most work must be completed by March 1, 2027; PTZ 2/3 installation and certain security-device work extend to December 1, 2030. Payment and performance bonds equal to the contract price are required from the awarded contractor, and insurance coverage includes general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, and specified endorsements. The bid package also requires completion of the buyer-provided insurance-ability certification and, if applicable, the Buy Local Packet.
