Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is seeking professional design services for replacing three vehicle gates and related accessories at the Iowa Medical Classification Center in Coralville, Iowa. The scope includes design, bidding assistance, and construction administration for gate operators, locks, razor wire, fencing, and interconnections with existing door-control, fence-detection, and camera systems. The design must use nonproprietary equipment and systems and include field examination, survey work, utility coordination, code compliance, cost opinions, construction documents, and hazardous-materials bid-package support. The selected firm will support bidding and construction through submittal and closeout review, requests for information, change orders, pay applications, site observations, progress meetings, punch-list development, and project closeout. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the State's IMPACS Procurement System by November 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. The technical proposal is limited to 30 single-spaced pages, excluding dividers, the cover page, and resumes; each proposal file may not exceed 10 MB. Professional liability insurance of $2 million is required under the resulting contract.
