Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is soliciting a firm-fixed-price bid for removal and replacement of various doors and hardware at ImOn Ice Arena. The work includes replacing aluminum and hollow-metal doors and subframes, installing door closers, panic bars, exit devices, hinges, thresholds, sweeps, pull hardware, kick plates, glazing, and transom panels; reinstalling existing automatic door operators and electrical components; replacing weather seals; repairing drywall and paint; and disposing of removed equipment and construction waste. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, permits, and related incidentals. The scope also includes inspection, repair, or replacement of additional exit devices and panic bars, manufacturer literature for proposed equipment, OSHA 10 compliance for on-site workers, Iowa contractor registration, safety and cleanup, and coordination with the City's project manager. Payment and performance bonds are required after award, each in an amount equal to the contract price. Bids must be submitted electronically through the City's Euna Procurement/IonWave portal; email, fax, and hard-copy submissions are not accepted.
