Description
The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking a contractor to remove and dispose of the existing NHL side concession stand kitchen exhaust hood, roof-mounted exhaust fan, and associated grease ductwork at ImOn Ice Arena. The contractor must furnish and install one new nine-foot commercial kitchen exhaust hood, a matched roof-mounted exhaust fan, required grease ductwork and fire-wrap enclosure, a stainless-steel skirt, electrical controls using the existing electrical service, and roof-penetration seals. The work also includes airflow testing, verification and adjustment, cleanup, waste disposal, and protection of City property. The solicitation requires descriptive literature for the proposed hood and fan, a completed certification from the bidder's insurance agent or broker regarding the ability to obtain required coverage and endorsements, and applicable Buy Local documentation. The contractor must maintain specified general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and employers' liability insurance, with required endorsements. The initial contract term ends November 30, 2026, and work may begin only after an approved City Council resolution, an executed contract, and a purchase order. Responses must be submitted electronically through Euna Procurement powered by IonWave.
