Description
Wake County Public School System is seeking one or more vendors to provide on-site Registered Behavior Technician support services. Services support students and instructional staff under established Behavior Intervention Plans and may include direct and indirect support, evidence-based interventions, progress monitoring and data collection, collaboration with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts and school staff, modeling and demonstration of practices, and secure maintenance of student records and confidential communications. Assignments are generally expected to be full-time, usually at one school, with substitute coverage required when assigned RBTs are unavailable. The district will provide needed materials, and travel time between assigned WCPSS locations is billable but travel expenses are not reimbursable. The district anticipates contracting with multiple vendors and expects an initial need for approximately 10–15 RBTs, although volume may fluctuate. Individual providers are eligible, bidding on all positions is not mandatory, and subcontracting is not mandatory. Providers must have current North Carolina practice licenses in good standing; criminal background and sexual offender registry checks meeting WCPSS requirements must be completed within 24 hours after a candidate is presented. The initial service period runs through June 30, 2027, with up to two additional one-year extensions at WCPSS’s discretion. No estimated budget or historical rates are provided; vendors may submit hourly rates or rate ranges for activities within the RBT scope.
