Description
The City of Walnut Creek is soliciting a lump-sum bid for renewal of the City Hall facade at 1666 North Main Street. The work includes demolition and replacement of brick veneer, stucco, windows, storefronts, and doors; repair or replacement of water-damaged and dry-rotted wood framing; installation of new wood-stud infill walls, water-resistive and air-barrier membranes, flashing, sealants, and related building-envelope components; and replacement of designated steep-sloped brick cladding with standing-seam metal roof assemblies. The contractor must provide labor, tools, equipment, scaffolding, site protection, traffic and pedestrian controls, permits, coordination with occupants and testing agencies, shop drawings and design-build calculations where required, and construction in accordance with the permit/bid drawings and specifications. A mandatory onsite pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time. The bid requires a 10% bid bond, 100% payment bond, and 100% performance bond, and responses must be submitted as sealed paper proposals.
