Description
The Mayor and City Council of Ocean City is soliciting bids for exterior renovation of the Ocean City Municipal Airport terminal and generator building. The base work includes demolition and replacement of existing siding, vapor barriers, soffit, fascia, gutters, downspouts, rake-end metals, caulking, trim, mounting blocks, louvers, and related exterior components. The scope includes CertainTeed vinyl soffit, Tando Composites Atlantica Beach House Shake siding, PVC trim, aluminum gutters and downspouts, vapor-barrier and flashing work, localized sheathing replacement, portico work, and associated painting and repairs. Bidders may also price four alternates: replacement of three exterior doors, replacement of 27 exterior screens, replacement of three windows, and replacement of exterior stair-tower decking. A unit price is requested for plywood sheathing replacement. The bid requires a five percent bid bond; the successful vendor must provide payment and performance bonds each equal to 100 percent of the contract price. The successful vendor must also provide specified commercial general liability, professional liability, and commercial automobile insurance. A minimum of five years of relevant experience and three references for similar work are required.
