Description
The City of Alcoa is soliciting bids for exterior renovations at its water treatment plant. The work includes removing existing Hardie board siding; installing hat channel strips fastened to metal studs; adding 3/4-inch semi-permeable polystyrene foam insulation board; installing approximately 9,400 square feet of metal board-and-batten siding; and caulking and sealing as required. The contractor must also replace eight exterior windows with comparable replacement windows and frame beneath the existing sills to raise the window bottoms above the brick ledge. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit is required for bidders; it is the only stated opportunity to visit the site.
