Description
Cameron Independent School District is soliciting proposals for siding repairs at Ben Milam Elementary. The work includes removing specified cultured stone, metal lath, mud base, and damaged or rotten exterior plywood sheathing; legally disposing of removed materials; and furnishing and installing 7/16-inch OSB sheathing, Tyvek house wrap, and EIFS stucco/siding with EPS insulation, exterior finishes, flashings, and trims. The contractor must perform a pre-bid site visit and field verification, obtain required permits, maintain site security and safety, coordinate staging and lift operations with the District, comply with school-site background-check and identification requirements, and avoid disruptive work during school hours without approval. Closeout requirements include as-built drawings, warranty documentation, a manufacturer inspection or certification letter, operation and maintenance manuals, final lien waivers, and a final walkthrough. Commercial general liability, workers’ compensation, automobile liability, and builder’s risk insurance are required in amounts specified by the District. The bid package requires a completed bid form, supplemental forms, applicable contractor licenses or registrations, proof of insurance, and bonding capacity documentation.
