Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction quotation for the B290 Welding Shop roof at the Pine Ridge Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. The work includes selective demolition; removal and replacement of gutters and downspouts; installation of an insulated, mechanically fastened PVC metal-retrofit roofing system over the existing metal roof; replacement or extension of roof curbs, plumbing vents, and gas-appliance vents; flashing, sealants, fasteners, transitions, and related coordination work; and manufacturer inspections required for the specified warranty. The basis-of-design system is a Durolast Metal Retrofit system with polyisocyanurate flute-fill and continuous insulation and a 60-mil PVC membrane. Energy Star-listed roofing products are required, and the completed system must include a 20-year no-dollar-limit warranty. The quotation must include a technical approach and critical-path project schedule, at least three recent and relevant projects completed within the past five years, a completed price schedule, a signed SF-1442, and a bid guarantee. The award will be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror. Performance and payment bonds are required after award, and work must begin within 10 calendar days after the notice to proceed and be completed within 90 calendar days after the notice to proceed.
