Description
The City of Pittsburg is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified, licensed roofing contractors for a roof modification and overbuild at the Parks Department building. The work includes furnishing and installing tapered insulation to achieve a minimum 1/2:12 drainage slope, a new TPO single-ply membrane with termination bar, metal cap and drip-edge assemblies with water stops, a commercial-grade gutter system, and high-performance exterior sealants. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and safety systems and comply with applicable building codes and industry-standard safety practices. The proposal package must include firm qualifications, proof of insurance, relevant experience involving at least three commercial low-slope or TPO projects completed within the past five years, material data sheets, a lump-sum cost proposal, a work schedule, licenses and permits, and a bonding-capacity letter or certificate from a Treasury-listed surety. The modification is intended as a temporary repair with a service life of up to five years; no other structural elements or framing members are included in the scope. Performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price, are required from the selected contractor after award and before physical work begins.
