Description
This invitation to bid covers replacement of the existing metal roof at the former Kent County Family Court, including removal down to the roof deck and installation of new synthetic slate and metal roofing, snow guards, aluminum gutters, and downspouts. The project also includes associated selective demolition, rough carpentry, sheet-metal flashing and trim, joint sealants, and related construction work. A $40,000 allowance is included for unforeseen conditions. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting to be eligible to bid. Each bid must include the completed Bid Form and listed subcontractor information, a 10% bid security, Non-Collusion Statement, Affidavit of Employee Drug Testing Program, and Affidavit of Contractor Qualifications. The selected contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance after award. The contract duration is to be proposed by the bidder in the Bid Form; no fixed contract period is stated.
