Description
Carroll County is soliciting a contractor to replace and repair metal roofing at the Hashawha barn and wetland classroom and the Piney Run Park maintenance shop. Work includes installing 28-gauge metal roofing, replacing wood battens, fascia, flashing, gutters, and downspouts, installing snow guards at Hashawha, replacing vent-pipe boots, removing an abandoned satellite-dish stand at Piney Run, and providing an additive alternate for corner siding and bollards. The contractor must remove debris and perform the work during normal business hours. The project has an approved budget range of $100,000 to $300,000 and requires a firm lump-sum bid. Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds for contracts exceeding $100,000. The successful contractor must also provide a one-year roof warranty and maintain specified insurance coverage. The bid package requires a completed Bid Form, references for at least three similar projects completed during the past 12 months, and a bid bond, uploaded as one PDF file through the electronic procurement portal.
