Description
Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services Department's Community Services Bureau is seeking one qualified agency to provide vended meal services for 12 early childhood education centers serving children ages 0–5. The contractor must provide breakfast, lunch, snacks, and milk; accommodate allergies, disabilities, and dietary restrictions; comply with Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements; and prepare meals for routine pickup by County employees. The contractor must also maintain the staffing, vehicles, and operational capacity to provide emergency delivery to the centers when requested. The scope includes meal planning, food procurement and preparation, packaging, labeling, food safety, temperature control, meal-related supplies, monthly reporting, detailed invoicing, and delivery or staging for pickup. The estimated initial program funding is up to $1,593,064 for February 1, 2027, through January 31, 2028, with up to four optional one-year renewals. Proposals must include a program narrative, fiscal management narrative, budget and budget narrative, qualifications, references, organizational chart, staff resumes or job descriptions, a current health permit or recent inspection report, and a 21-day sample menu, along with the required forms and financial attachments.
