Description
The Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa is soliciting one or more vendors to provide labor, materials, and equipment for as-needed vacant-unit turnover preparation services at public housing properties throughout Contra Costa County. The scope includes testing and repairing electrical components; removing debris; cleaning interiors, exteriors, windows, fixtures, yards, and appliances; repairing and painting walls, doors, cabinets, sheds, gates, and fences; replacing flooring, baseboards, blinds, hardware, smoke alarms, plumbing fixtures, water heaters, toilets, vanities, tubs, and related components; and performing other unit-readiness work identified in the line-item pricing schedule. Work must comply with applicable codes, manufacturer recommendations, HUD maintenance wage requirements, and HACCC standards. The contractor must provide a work schedule, coordinate site access, protect residents and property, dispose of waste off-site, and warrant satisfactory labor and materials for one year. HACCC may establish a pool of up to three vendors and issue work based on availability and agreed pricing. The anticipated contract structure is one year with two additional two-year option periods, for a maximum of five years.
