Description
The City of Fresno is seeking a qualified firm to provide on-call plan check, back check, and inspection services for commercial and residential projects. Services include plan review and backcheck of complete buildings, additions, and tenant improvements; inspection services for building, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems; complete, partial, or single-discipline plan review with associated back-check; and preparation and processing of permit plan sets in compliance with City procedures. The selected firm will work closely with the Building Official and designated staff to ensure compliance with the California Building Standards Code and the Fresno Municipal Code. The City processes approximately 12,000 building permit applications annually, and the consultant will augment internal capacity to meet established review timelines. The contract is expected to be on-call, as-needed, with the City intending to select one firm.
