Description
The City of South Lake Tahoe is seeking one or more consultants to provide on-call, as-needed professional services supporting its Development Services Department. The scope includes full or partial structural, civil, fire, and trade plan reviews; temporary staffing such as building officials, plan examiners, inspectors, permit technicians, and fire inspectors; permit application and issuance support; and onsite residential and commercial building inspections covering structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. Consultants must meet specified turnaround standards, including initial plan reviews within 10 business days and subsequent reviews within five business days, provide qualified and appropriately certified personnel, support digital plan review, coordinate communications through the City, and work with applicable California, local, and regional codes. The contract term is three years, with compensation based on mutually agreed fee schedules. Proposals are evaluated on the cover letter, company experience, scope and implementation approach, personnel qualifications, and itemized fees.
