Description
The City of Fresno is soliciting a requirements contract to furnish and install copper replacements for existing 1-inch, 1.5-inch, and 2-inch polyethylene water services. Work includes reactive single- and multiple-service replacements, excavation, utility locating, disinfection, temporary pavement repairs, traffic control, restoration of damaged improvements, and emergency manual excavation when required. Services may be performed in City, county, or state rights-of-way and on private property, with no guaranteed minimum quantity; the contractor may receive up to 20 calls per week and must be capable of responding to up to four calls per day. The initial contract term is one year, with two optional one-year extensions. A valid California Class A contractor's license, or both C-34 and C-36 licenses, is required. The solicitation requires a 10% bid deposit, annual 100% payment and performance bonds, compliance with the City's Community Workforce Agreement and targeted hiring requirements, and mandatory use of the City's construction management information system. The annual estimated requirements allocation is $3,120,000, for informational purposes only.
