Description
Bibb County School District is soliciting proposals from qualified multidisciplinary professional firms to perform a comprehensive districtwide Facility Condition Assessment for designated schools and other facilities, excluding six identified schools. The work includes on-site evaluation of roofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, building-envelope, interior, exterior, fire and life-safety, accessibility, security, site, parking, sidewalk, drainage, athletic, and support-facility conditions. The selected firm must identify deficiencies, estimate remaining useful lives, develop a Facility Condition Index or comparable measure for each applicable facility, prepare planning-level repair and replacement cost estimates, prioritize needs by urgency and implementation timeframe, and develop a multi-year Capital Improvement Plan. Deliverables include executive and individual facility assessment reports, deficiency listings, photographs, cost estimates, prioritized recommendations, an electronic assessment database or spreadsheet, and an executive presentation. The project team must include a licensed architect and licensed professional engineer, and proposals must address qualifications, comparable K-12 or public-sector experience, methodology, staffing, schedule, cost, conflicts of interest, licenses, and insurance capability.
