Description
Irvine Unified School District is soliciting qualifications from experienced firms specializing in building inspection services for PK-12 school facilities. Qualified firms may be placed in a consultant pool for upcoming new construction, modernization, renovation, and expansion projects; pool selection does not guarantee future work. For specific projects, shortlisted pool firms may later be asked to submit fee proposals through separate Requests for Proposals. The selected inspection firm must provide individuals certified through the Division of the State Architect and continuous inspection of assigned work. Services may include construction progress meetings, daily inspection reports, coordination of special inspections and testing, oversight of DSA assistant inspectors, communication with the District's field representative, completion and verification of DSA-required forms and documents, and monthly invoices supported by reports, photographs, observations, inspections, and tests. Firms must demonstrate California PK-12 school district experience, experience with the Division of the State Architect, at least ten completed California PK-12 school district construction projects within the past ten years, at least three California PK-12 school district references, relevant litigation history, and qualifications of the proposed project team and subconsultants. Addendum No. 01 clarifies that fees are not requested with the RFQ, fees may be requested later on an assignment-by-assignment basis, and all submitted copies must be printed in color, double-sided, on 8.5-by-11-inch paper, bound, and limited to 15 double-sided pages, subject to the stated exclusions. All firms must acknowledge Addendum No. 01 and all other issued addenda.
