Description
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is soliciting bids for construction modifications to the M/V Tazlina, an Alaska Class Ferry. The project involves adding sleeping quarters for up to 24 persons, including 8 single-person staterooms on the Bridge Deck and 8 two-person staterooms on the Upper Deck. Additional work includes installation of a galley, scullery, and mess spaces on the Upper Deck; modifications to the EGR fuel system; a new fan room on the Bridge Deck; modifications to the existing passenger dining area; extensions to the existing port stair tower for crew access to the Bridge Deck; construction of storage and office space on the Passenger Deck; modifications to the Passenger Deck children's play area; coatings and protection upgrades; and state-funded annual overhaul work and upgrades. The vessel will be modified by adding new structure, piping, electrical, toilet/shower modules, lighting fixtures, ceiling, wall insulation and linings, deck coverings, furniture, galley equipment, and fixtures. All ancillary work required to complete the modifications is included.
