Description
The United States Coast Guard is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quotation for drydock and dockside repairs to the USCGC VIGOROUS (WMEC 627) during its FY2027 availability. The work includes drydocking and undocking, hull and structural plating repairs, welding, propulsion shaft and bearing inspection and repair, controllable-pitch propeller and hydraulic-system servicing, rudder and valve work, tank cleaning and preservation, underwater hull testing and coating, equipment replacement and removal, piping and exhaust cleaning or renewal, sewage and potable-water system work, heat-exchanger servicing, temporary services, inspections, testing, and related reports and condition-found documentation. Option items include additional stern-tube preservation, shaft straightening, CPP hub inspection or renewal, and shell-plating renewal. Quotes must include a signed cover letter, a technical capability submission, corporate experience, past-performance documentation, and a completed price schedule. The technical submission requires planning, quality-control, temporary-services, coating, technical-representative, subcontract-management, system-cleaning, drydock-certification, pre-award-calculation, and welding documentation. The solicitation requires performance at the contractor's certified drydock facility and specifies facility requirements including navigable-water access, at least 18 feet of water depth, and at least 90 feet of vertical clearance.
