Description
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities seeks construction services to modify the M/V Tazlina to accommodate sleeping quarters for up to 24 people, including eight single-person staterooms on the Bridge Deck and eight two-person staterooms on the Upper Deck. The work includes installation of a galley, scullery, mess spaces, toilet and shower modules, furniture, galley equipment, lighting, ceilings, insulation, wall linings, and deck coverings. Additional work includes modifying the EGR fuel system, constructing a Bridge Deck fan room, modifying the passenger dining area and Children's Play Area, extending the port stair tower for crew access, constructing storage and office space, performing coatings and protection upgrades, and completing state-funded annual overhaul work. The scope includes all associated removals, structural, piping, electrical, and ancillary work necessary to complete the revised vessel arrangement. The engineer's estimate is between $30,000,000 and $40,000,000.
