The U.S. Navy seeks a firm-fixed-price job order for preservation of approximately 50 square feet of deck surface, foundations, and vertical coaming surfaces inside the LPAC No. One compartment aboard USS New Orleans (LPD-18) in Sasebo, Japan. The work includes removing and reinstalling various piping, one low-pressure air compressor, and one dehydrator; cleaning and preparing exposed components and surfaces; cleaning and preserving the deck and coaming; and restoring equipment, piping, cabling, bonding, grounding, and alignment. The contractor must test deck drains before and after the work, provide a drain-test report and Marine Chemist certificate, perform operational pressure testing of the compressor and dehydrator, verify rotation and leak-free mechanical joints, and comply with applicable Navy ship-repair, quality, safety, and preservation standards. Award is restricted to firms holding, or able to obtain before award, an active U.S. Navy MSRA or ABR agreement in the Japan Region.
